FAQ
Why does my KML file not render after I uploaded it?
KML files are limited to 20MB in size and the total area may not exceed 1000 ha (10,000,000 m2). KML files also require at least 1 polygon for the map to zoom to the correct site location. For more detail on how to prepare a KML file, see the section Creating a KML
I do not see my layout after selecting Generate PV Layout
This is most likely because your project's Coordinate Reference System (CRS) is not correctly selected. In the Auto Layout settings, select the CRS that is applicable to your project. After saving the settings, select the icon next to the Generate PV Layout button to remove any existing layouts. If you run Generate PV Layout now, you should see your layout generated inside the KML boundaries.
Why can't I select development areas when using the automated layout generation tool?
The automated layout generation tool requires at least 1 closed polygon correctly labelled to be identified as a development area (see the section Creating a KML). These areas will be shaded green immediately after uploading a kml file. The interactive development area selection tool will only work with development areas.
